Math Minute — Privacy Policy
Effective date: May 25, 2026 Last updated: May 25, 2026 Version: 1.1.0
Magic Box Software Solutions LLC (“we”, “our”, “us”) publishes Math Minute, an app for iPhone and iPad available on the Apple App Store. This policy describes what information Math Minute does and does not collect.
Summary
Math Minute is an on-device app. It does not require an account, does not include third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs, and does not contact any of our servers. Your settings and your high scores stay on your device. With your consent, Apple may share anonymized crash reports and diagnostic metrics with us through its built-in developer tools.
Information we collect
We do not collect personal information.
We do not collect feature-usage telemetry, navigation events, or any record of which drills you run, which problems you see, which answers you give, or which scores you earn.
Network activity
Math Minute does not phone home. The app makes no network requests of its own — no license checks, no content downloads, no leaderboards, no model downloads, no update pings beyond what the App Store itself performs to deliver Math Minute to your device.
On-device processing
Everything Math Minute does — generating problems, timing your drill, scoring your answers, computing your letter grade, ranking your high scores — runs locally on your device.
Diagnostics and crash reports (Apple-mediated, opt-in)
If you have enabled “Share iPhone Analytics” / “Share iPad Analytics” and “Share with App Developers” in your device’s Privacy & Security settings, Apple may share the following with us through its standard developer reporting tools:
- Crash reports — anonymized stack traces and device/OS metadata generated when the app crashes.
- Diagnostic metrics (MetricKit) — aggregated, anonymized performance metrics such as launch time, hang rate, memory and energy use.
These reports are collected, anonymized, and delivered by Apple. They do not contain personal information, do not identify you, do not include any of your drill results or high scores, and are governed by Apple’s privacy policy. You can disable this at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.
We do not use any third-party crash-reporting or analytics SDKs (no Sentry, Crashlytics, Firebase, TelemetryDeck, or similar).
In-app purchases
Math Minute is a single one-time paid app purchased through the App Store. It does not contain any in-app purchases, does not contain any subscriptions, does not include advertising, does not use the advertising identifier, and does not include any attribution or ad-measurement SDK.
Information stored on your device
Math Minute stores the following locally on your device using standard application data storage:
- Your settings (largest operand, session time, practice-mode toggle)
- Your high scores (operation, session length, letter grade)
This data never leaves your device except via your own backups, syncing services, or restores you choose to perform — for example, an iCloud or encrypted iTunes/Finder backup of your iPhone or iPad. In that case the data is governed by Apple’s privacy policy and the privacy policy of whatever backup destination you use.
Children’s privacy
Math Minute is rated 4+ on the App Store. It contains no chat, no social features, no user-generated content, no ads, and no in-app purchases, and it makes no network requests. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Effective date” and “Version” above will reflect the most recent revision. Material changes will also be noted in the app’s App Store release notes.
